A detailed piece of architecture: the concourse of Antwerp Central Station, with its dome, pale stone arches and the golden glints of the clock, worked with the added metallic threads. The tall, narrow format brings out the perspective of the central staircase.
This is a demanding project, with many colour changes and closely related shades: good light, a hoop or frame and some experience of evenweave fabric help, as cross stitches here are usually worked over two threads. A frame is not included: once finished, the embroidery is best professionally framed, ideally with a mount to keep the fabric off the glass.
