Neighborhood Meeting

A winter scene in the garden: the straw feeder is besieged by great tits, bullfinches and even a woodpecker, among little terracotta pots full of seed. The design is by the nature illustrator Marjolein Bastin, and the kit holds everything needed to stitch it, DMC threads included.

This is a large piece worked in 55 colours, so some experience in reading a chart helps, even though the stitches themselves stay simple. Alongside the kit you will want a good-sized frame or hoop and, at the end, a picture frame, which is not included. Evenweave is stitched by counting the threads, usually two at a time.
