A bunch of wild flowers designed by Marjolein Bastin, with a butterfly resting on a yellow bell flower and a ladybird among the stems. The design is tall and narrow on a pale ground, with plenty of shading in the petals, while the finer details such as stems and antennae are worked in back stitch and long stitch.
Its size and colour count make it a substantial project, best suited to stitchers with some experience of counted work. Alongside the kit it helps to have a hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors; the frame shown is not included. Once finished, the piece works well framed as a picture.
