Description

A painterly portrait: the face, the shaded headdress and the details of the traditional costume are built up from many tones, mostly pinks, greens and greys. The evenweave fabric is comfortably worked over two threads, with one or two strands of stranded cotton depending on how much coverage you like.

Everything needed for stitching is in the kit, threads included: all you need to add is a hoop or frame and a sharp pair of small scissors. With this many colours it pays to follow the chart methodically, area by area. The finished piece is a generous size and lends itself well to framing (frame not included).
