Chambray Dots Dijon is one of Tilda's basics: chambray, woven with different colours in warp and weft, gives the ground a soft shimmer that makes the mustard yellow warmer and less flat. The tonal dots are large enough to read as a pattern, yet stay quiet – the kind of supporting fabric that holds a collection of prints together.
It works well in quilt blocks, backings and borders, in cushions and bags, and for the bodies and dresses of Tilda dolls. The maker recommends washing at 60 °C, with 3-5% shrinkage, so pre-wash the cut before cutting into it, especially if it will be combined with fabrics that have already been washed.
