Poppy Seed Mauve is one of the Tilda basics: a dusty mauve ground sprinkled with very small white dots, reading almost as a softly textured solid from a distance. It is the kind of fabric you always run out of, because it gives the eye a rest between larger prints and ties the blocks of a quilt together.
Use it for patchwork, but also for linings, bag interiors, aprons, doll clothes and hand-sewn decorations, where the tiny print still works on small pieces. For borders or long strips, choose one of the larger cuts so the fabric can be cut lengthwise. A pre-wash before cutting avoids surprises once everything is sewn.
