Tasselflower Mustard

Tasselflower Mustard belongs to Pie in the Sky, the collection Tone Finnanger dedicates to daydreaming children and the imaginary worlds they build. The print is a dense, slightly deco arrangement of fan-shaped flowers, with zigzag stripes in lilac and purple, little pink hearts and fine orange stems on a warm mustard ground.

The repeat is regular and busy, so it works cut into small pieces for quilt blocks and equally well left whole on a cushion, a bag, a pouch or the back of a quilt. The mustard background calms the pinks and purples and makes them easy to pair with the solids in the collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting.
