Limpet Shell Lilac

Limpet Shell Lilac belongs to Cotton Beach, the Tilda collection inspired by the coast, shells, coral reefs and sea anemones. The shells are drawn at an angle, their ribs fanning out in coral and cream, packed in rows over a lilac ground crossed by a fine grid: a medium-scale print with a cheerful summer feel.

It works well in the blocks of a seaside quilt, and for beach bags, pouches, cushions and aprons, sitting happily next to the other fabrics in the collection in coral, yellow, teal and blue. Pre-wash before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; if you need long strips or borders, choose one of the larger cuts.
