Tasselflower Red belongs to Pie in the Sky, the collection Tone Finnanger dedicated to daydreaming children and the worlds they invent. The print is a dense, repeating pattern of fan-shaped flowers in pink and blue on a red ground: small and regular, so it needs no fussy cutting and works well in squares, strips and hexagons.
It brings warmth to a patchwork quilt and is equally at home in linings, drawstring bags, pouches and Tilda dolls. It sits easily beside the other cottons in the collection and beside plain fabrics in red, pink and green. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
