Description

A winter composition by Marjolein Bastin: a birdhouse among holly sprigs and clusters of red berries, with a wren looking out. The design is worked in counted cross stitch on evenweave fabric, with back stitch for the outlines and long stitches for the stems; the threads come already sorted and numbered on the organiser, so you can start straight away.

It is a good-sized project to enjoy slowly through the winter evenings: a hoop or frame and a sharp pair of small scissors are useful too. The frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed as a Christmas picture to bring out year after year.
