Poppy Seed Putty

Poppy Seed Putty is one of Tilda's basics: a scatter of very small dots in beige on a light ground, reading almost as a softly textured solid from a distance. It is the fabric to reach for when large florals need breathing space – block backgrounds, inner borders, cushion backs, bag linings and, for anyone sewing Tilda dolls, clothes and small details.

The print is non-directional, so pieces can be cut without worrying about the way up, and the neutral shade sits happily with almost any collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. For long strips or continuous borders, choose one of the larger cuts.
