Songbird Mustard

Songbird Mustard comes from the Songbird collection, inspired by a trip to Venice and its echoes of Art Nouveau: hand-drawn stems, flowers and little birds arranged in a mirrored repeat, with mustard yellow leading and dusty teal and pink as a counterpoint.

It is a large-scale design that works best across generous surfaces: the centre of a quilt, the back of a cushion, a tote bag, a curtain or an apron. Pair it with small-scale prints and plain shades from the same collection to keep the composition light. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
