Whimsyflower Cream belongs to Something Blue, the Tilda collection born from Tone Finnanger's love of blue and white pottery. Clusters of pink roses open out among blue and mint green foliage, with the print thinning towards the pale ground: an effect close to painted porcelain that works best in larger pieces, where the design can be seen whole.
It suits the centre block of a quilt, a cushion front, a bag or a table runner, and sits easily next to the smaller prints in the same collection. Pre-wash it before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for borders and long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
