Cottonbloom Paprika belongs to Bloomsville, the bright summer collection from Tilda built around strong colours and flowers in bloom. The print is small and evenly spaced: little lilac cotton blooms in close rows on a warm red ground. It is one of those blender prints that give large-scale designs room to breathe, and it keeps its character when cut into squares, strips, triangles or hexagons.
Use it for quilts, cushions, bags, pouches and dolls, or as a lining where the red adds an unexpected touch. It sits well with the other Bloomsville prints and with lilac, pink and green solids. Pre-wash before cutting so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for borders and long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
