Mira Rhubarb

Mira Rhubarb belongs to Sanctuary, the Tilda autumn/winter collection with its soft, muted palette. The print is small and evenly spaced, with pink flowering sprigs on a rhubarb-red ground: it is one of the Blenders, the fabrics meant to work as a background and to tie together the larger prints in the collection.

It is an easy fabric for the small pieces of a quilt, for borders and cushion backs, and equally for bags, pouches, dolls and sewn decorations. From a distance the print reads almost as a solid, so it sits well next to plain fabrics and bolder motifs. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
