Mira Moss belongs to Sanctuary, Tilda's soft, muted autumn/winter collection built around the idea of your own safe place: the woods, the sewing room, bed with a good book. It is one of the blenders, the small-scale prints that give larger patterns room to breathe – closely set pale sprigs on a moss green ground, reading almost tone on tone from a distance.
It is the sort of fabric you reach for when piecing small units of a quilt, for borders, linings and drawstring bags, and for the bodies of Tilda dolls and animals, where a tiny motif still shows well. Pre-wash before cutting so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; choose a larger cut if you need long strips.
