Sue Mustard belongs to Jubilee, the collection in which Tilda celebrates 25 years by bringing together festive prints from past collections. The little bunches of roses and meadow flowers are small and densely scattered over a warm mustard ground: a small-scale print that keeps its character even when cut into squares and triangles.
It works as a useful background or as a calm filler between the bolder prints in the collection, and it also suits linings, drawstring bags, pouches, doll clothes and Tilda dresses. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. For borders or a quilt backing, choose one of the larger cuts.
