Solid Plum

Solid Plum is a plain cotton in a deep plum purple, made to go alongside Tilda's printed collections. Solids are what let a quilt breathe: they separate the patterned blocks, give the eye a rest and work well for borders, backings, backgrounds and appliqué.

Soft and closely woven, it also suits creative sewing: Tilda dolls, cushions, bags, pouches and small accessories. Pre-wash before cutting so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew, and with strong colours it is wise to test for colour fastness. If you need whole borders or backings, choose one of the larger cuts.
