Lulu Saffron

Lulu Saffron belongs to Creating Memories, the Tilda range of small-scale prints grouped into seasons by colour: this one sits in the autumn palette, with little posies of pink tulips and blue leaves on a warm mustard ground. The motif is small and evenly repeated, so it still reads well in the tiny pieces of a patchwork block, where large-scale prints tend to disappear.

It is an easy fabric for seasonal quilts, cushions, bags, pot holders and autumn decorations, and it mixes happily with the other sixteen fabrics in the range. Pre-wash before cutting so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for borders and long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
