Autumn Bloom Eggplant

Autumn Bloom Eggplant belongs to Hibernation, the Tilda autumn and winter collection inspired by sleeping animals and nature motifs in the Arts and Crafts spirit: lighter elements on dark grounds, built up in layers. Here leaves and small blooms in pale blue, pink and red wind across a deep eggplant background, in a small-scale print that still reads well when cut into little pieces.

It works well for quilt blocks, cushion backs and linings, and equally for bags, pouches and the bodies of Tilda dolls and animals. The dark ground makes the lighter fabrics of the same collection stand out. Pre-wash before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
